Competing in the Challenger Division of the TNS Kickball: National Kickball Series, Colson delivered a breakout performance that turned heads across the tournament.
Despite falling just short in the championship game, Colson’s impact on the field was undeniable. Holding it down at first base, she showcased elite defensive instincts with several highlight-reel catches that energized her team and fans alike. Her defensive presence proved to be a cornerstone for Trippin Balls throughout the weekend.
But Colson’s game doesn’t stop on defense.
Offensively, she brought the same level of intensity and precision, consistently contributing at the plate. Her bunting technique—shaped by years as a former soccer and lacrosse athlete—added a unique edge to her playstyle, keeping defenses guessing and creating scoring opportunities.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Colson’s journey to kickball is one of resilience and rediscovery. After focusing on soccer leagues since 2013, her path shifted following an ACL injury while living in North Carolina. What could have been a setback instead became a new beginning.
“I got into kickball through friends and it just kind of stuck,” said Colson. “I traveled all over the country for soccer, so it brings me back to that.”
Since 2021, Colson has taken her passion to the next level—competing in local leagues and tournaments before expanding her reach nationwide over the past few years.
Her versatility is another key asset. While she dominated at first base this weekend, Colson is capable of playing multiple positions including second base and shortstop, and has recently added pitching to her skillset. She continues to evolve her game, now working to incorporate the “inside charger” into her defensive arsenal to become an even more complete player.
With her athletic background, relentless drive, and growing presence on the national stage, Victoria Colson is quickly establishing herself as one of the Challenger Division’s most exciting rising stars.
